Information we collect
Information you give us
When you send an inquiry through a form on this website, we collect:
- your name, email address and company name;
- the details you write about your project; and
- any file you choose to attach, such as drawings or CAD models.
Form submissions are delivered to info@coretools.ca. If you email or call us directly, we keep the information you provide in that correspondence.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the website, we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used. These services use cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as:
- pages you visit, how long you stay and the site that referred you;
- your browser, device type, screen size and approximate location (derived from your IP address); and
- how you interact with pages, including clicks, scrolling and mouse movement. Clarity may create session replays and heatmaps from these interactions.
Our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which collects information about your device and how you interact with the page to tell people from automated spam.
How we use your information
We use personal information only for purposes a reasonable person would consider appropriate:
- to respond to your inquiry, prepare quotes and carry out work you engage us for;
- to review files you send solely to evaluate and deliver your project;
- to understand how the website is used and improve it; and
- to protect our forms and website from spam and abuse.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you sent an inquiry.
Consent
By submitting a form, you consent to our collecting and using the information you provide for the purposes above. You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions, by contacting our Privacy Officer or by using the choices described below.

You can accept or decline analytics cookies in the cookie notice. If you decline, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are switched off and stay off on later visits in that browser. You can change your choice at any time:
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies will not prevent you from using the website or sending an inquiry. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. To learn more about how these providers handle data, see the Google Privacy Policy and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Service providers and storage outside Canada
We use trusted service providers to run this website and handle inquiries, including Netlify (website hosting and form processing), Google (Analytics and reCAPTCHA), Microsoft (Clarity) and our email provider. These providers may store or process information in the United States or other countries, where it may be accessible to authorities under the laws of those jurisdictions. We share only the information needed for the service they provide.
We may also disclose personal information where required or authorized by law.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the purposes it was collected for, or as required for legal or business reasons. If we use your information to make a decision that directly affects you, we keep it for at least one year after that decision, as PIPA requires. When we no longer need it, we securely delete or destroy it.
Security
We make reasonable security arrangements to protect personal information against unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please avoid sending information you consider highly sensitive through the website forms.
